Summer Immersion Program
New Perspectives: Japan by Laurasian Institution
In June 2017 five students participated in the Laurasian Institution's "New Perspectives: Japan" program for two weeks. The same program was implemented in Fulton County Schools as the Kakehashi Project sponsored by the Japanese government during Summer 2013 and Spring 2017. The purpose of this program is to have students use their Japanese language skills in a meaningful context, appreciate different people and their culture, and reflect their own cultural practices to broaden their perspectives. This program will prepare students for global and international communities and make a positive impact on other people around them by sharing their invaluable experiences in Japan.
